I'll spare you the birthday post... for now...

I want to just jump right into it, guys. This right here is a project I have been working on during this lockdown. I know a lot of people are struggling to stay sane during it all. Despite the inherent troubles this whole thing has caused many of us, it's a nice time for personal reflection.

I KNOW what I want to do from here on out, and, damn it, I'm going to do it.

So here's what I did this past month:

I wrote and illustrated two new books and am working on a third (spoiler alert). The one that I want to share with you today is none other than Silas and Her Rutabaga.

That's right! Silas is my best friend's daughter and that kid is wild. She has such an active imagination and I love it. When I heard the story of how her Papa brought home this gigantic root vegetable and how a friendship developed between it and this toddler, I knew I had to write about it. Mostly, I just wanted to draw it, if I'm being honest. I mean, how cute is that?! I spent my time in my apartment writing and illustrating every single day, and I never got tired of it.

Now we are here. The book is done and it is in review. I wanted to show it off a little bit, so...

!!COVER REVEAL!!

Do you like how I snuck that in there?

That's all for now, but you can expect another post again either later today or tomorrow morning.

Thank you all for supporting me!

Love,

Naomi
